Who Is Derek Bartholomaus?

Derek Bartholomaus is a freelance Post Production Producer/Supervisor who has worked on various types of television programming since 1993.  There have been documentary series, including “Bug Juice” and “Totally Hoops” for The Disney Channel, “Secret Passages” for The History Channel, and “1 Day With” for SOAPnet.  There have also been reality series such as “Wanna Come In?” and “The Phone” for MTV, “American Idol Rewind” for Tribune Syndication, and “Fear Factor” and “American Gladiators” for NBC.


In 2005 Derek started working on scripted television series such as the drama series “Watch Over Me” and “Wicked Wicked Games” for MyNetworkTV as well as the comedies “Fresh Baked Videogames” for Spike TV, “Mind of Mencia” and “Lewis Black’s Root Of All Evil” for Comedy Central.  Derek now likes to alternate between scripted and unscripted projects.


In addition to his television series Post Production duties Derek serves as one of the elected representatives for Post Production on the Producers Guild of America Associate Producers Council and he runs the PGA Post Production Email benefit for members of the Post Production Category of the Producers Guild of America.
